Rather than just a Harry Potter themed ride, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is billed as a theme park within a theme park and will cover a 20 acre site inside Universal's Islands of Adventure.  Universal have not yet released details of planned rides and attractions but are promising "a state-of-the-art attraction that will bring the magic, characters and stories of Harry Potter to life in an exciting way that guests have never before experienced".

Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Harry Potter and visit the village of Hogsmeade, the mysterious Forbidden Forest and parts of Hogwarts Castle and grounds.  The new Wizarding World of Harry Potter will also include what are described as "experiential shops and restaurants" which will allow guests to purchase all manner of Harry Potter merchandise and sample food based on the J.K. Rowling's books and films.

Less than a 2 minute walk from the resort is a large Publix Supermarket selling everything you could possibly need for a villa holiday (try the hot fried chicken, the kids will love it!) They even sell English beer & cider! On the same site there is Chinese & Pizza take out resaurants, plus a new Applebee's homestyle restaurant. There is also a nail bar, English pub showing live sports from around the world, along with a bank, post office and pharmacy.publix There is a Walmart just 2 minutes down the Hwy.27 from us.  The New Posner Park Mall is now open (5 mins on Hw27) with J C Penny, Target, Best Buy and many more stores and restaurants.

 

 

A mere 5 minutes drive on the Hwy.192 there is an abundance of restaurants, including the Outback, KW Kools (excellent oak grilled steaks) Hoolighans, Carabbas, Kobe Japanese plus many many more, all great value and quality food.  NEW FOR 2009 is a Longhorn Steakhouse & Olive Garden, just off Hwy27 on Hwy192.

Where do you begin, Orlando is a shoppers paradise, 10 minutes from Regal Palms on the I4 is Orlandos Premium Mall with many designer outlets such as Ralph Loren, Kenneth Cole, Hugo Boss to name but a few! Or you can choose from the Florida Mall ( 25 mins) the new Premier Mall (old Beltz 20 mins) and there is also the Millenium Mall (25 mins)
